Luxurious Mobile Phone

With the progress of technology, mobile phone is praised by the individuals not only for its hi-tech features, but also due to its elegancy. Truly speaking, the most important element of a mobile phone is indeed its technological advancement, but a stylish look also contributes a lot while the question comes with its class and acceptance.

Technology versus Look
At this point, there two distinctive statements from simply two defined group of individuals are observed when the debate concerning technology versus look is on the air. There are, in particular, group of people who talks more about the look over technology.

Look over Technology
There is an old Bengali proverb, which says, "first to visualize, then to analyze". This means, the first important thing is impression. And it is the impression which matters a lot. Keeping this aspect in mind, there are numerous manufacturing companies which continuously contribute a great amount of time and money into developing luxurious mobile phone.

Design Matters
This investment of time and money, in turn, opens a new business era in which these companies make a tie with renowned designers. This collaboration among manufacturers and designers makes a worthy production market for exquisite handsets usually stand out from the pretty old common selections.

Taiwan - the capital for mobile luxury
Taiwan is one of the best places adored by many mobile art lovers for its vast and exquisite mobile collection. In a very recent time, Samsung is presenting its newest elegant collection, known as Samsung U708. The primary feature of this cell phone is its exclusive case. The case is elegantly designed and skillfully ornamented with Swarovski crystals.

The case is decorated by keeping the gender differences in mind. For ladies, it comes with the shape of a gorgeous gown, which has a frill at the lower-bottom part of the gown. At the top of the gown case, it is engraved with costly crystals.

On the other hand, the case, especially made for gents' customer, comes in whisky decanter with crystal engraving all over the body of the case.

This is true that "the beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" and if someone asks for the price to buy the beauty, it means to be priceless. Till yet, there is no decided price range, however, if visited, the art lover must get the idea of the price of these mobile phones.

The Samsung G600 - 5 Marvellous Megapixels

Samsung Mobile have been at the forefront of mobile communications for the past five years due in no small part to the fact that the manufacturer consistantly delivers new and exciting features and technology to the mobile phone market place.

Gone are the days when you would have to squint at your small mobile phone screen to make out a picture before capturing it using a small VGA camera, these days Samsung consumers have the luxury of large full colour screens and multi megapixel cameras making for close to professional photography.

Samsungs newest edition offers these features but with their very latest technology - a five megapixel camera. There are only two other mobile phones currently offering this high quality camera, the LG KG920 Leo and the Nokia N95. The new Samsung G600 may sound like it already has competition but on closer examination it is easy to see why consumers will opt for this phone over its rivals. Firstly their is the sleek design, the outer casing is finished in a matt black paint and features Samsung's trademark smooth slide. The exterior buttons almost fall into the central multikey allowing for easy navigation of the menu system.

The display screen is a large 2.2 inch QVGA offering sixteen million colours which compliments the high quality pictures when viewed on-screen. The most surprising thing about the new G600 is that it is a mere 14mm thick, this is astonishing when compared to its competitors like the LG KG920 at 18mm and the Nokia N95 at 21mm proving that Samsung have really thought about the overall design and how they could squeeze this amount of technology into a phone without bulking out the dimensions.

The camera also offers autofocus, digital zoom and photolight (flash), as well as one of the best video recording resolutions available with 352 x 288 pixels at 30 frames per second.
The Samsung G600 also offers an MP3 player for uploading new music either direct from a PC or via the internet and creating playlists with your favourite music tracks and artists, and with 1GB of onbaord memory there is no need to take a second standalone music player with you, there is even a built-in FM Radio for tuning into local and national radio station whilst out and about.

Other important features in the Samsung G600 include Bluetooth technology for wireless conenction to compatible devices for file transfer and safe hands-free driving, internet and email access for browsing, downloading and keeping in touch whilst out of the office and built-in hands-free speakerphone for either talking hands-free or sharing your music and sound recordings with friends. Overall, the O2 Samsung G600 is a stylish, spohisticated, if not a little masculine photographic masterpiece that outshines it closest rivals with its array of new technology and features.

How To Customize Your iPhone Without Spending A Fortune

With the advent of the Apple iPhone came the chance for users to download music, movies, tv shows, software and lots of other goodies. But at what price? With the price of the iPhone itself at the top end of the mobile phone scale, people are finding that keeping up with the latest downloads is also costing them a pretty penny.

Paying a small amount per download seems like a good deal at the time until you want to download this song and then that movie and then you see a cool show that you would like to download and before you know it one download has turned into one hundred! With new media becoming available all the time at around one dollar per download the cost can soon get out of hand.

One way of taking away the cost involved in downloading the latest gear for your iPhone is to find a file sharing site where you can get it for free. What could be better than getting what you want for free? I'll tell you what is better than getting something for free …#34; getting a download that you know isn't just a cover for a potentially damaging virus that could render your new toy useless! Don't think it won't happen because as you read this there are people out there programming away making themselves a menace to society and taking pleasure in ruining your day and they just love file sharing sites to spread their nasties.

The only sensible and reliable way to get your downloads at a reasonable price is to join an download membership site. For a once off fee of $49.95 you can have access to around 30 billion files of all media and software types. The greatest benefit is in knowing that what you are getting is the real thing and not corrupted or likely to turn your iPhone into an expensive, useless piece of plastic.

With membership sites you get unlimited access and unlimited downloads, no more per- download charge, all you will ever pay is the one time membership fee. The necessary software is also available for free to enable you to view or listen to your downloads straight away. Super-fast download speeds are a bonus as well, no waiting and waiting for something you want now and if you do have any problems rest assured that there is free 24/7 technical assistance available.

So be smart and don't take pot luck with your downloads, get what you want when you want without worrying about viruses or spyware and without worrying about contravening copyright laws. Be assured also that you won't have to worry about how much you are spending each time you download, think of it like a mobile plan with a cap, once you pay your membership fee you're away and racing. Amaze your friends with how much you have on your iPhone knowing that it hasn't cost you an arm and a leg.

iPhone Tricks For The New iPhone Owner

If you own an iPhone, you will want to learn some of the cool iPhone tricks. If you are a new owner of an iPhone, then congratulations! You now have a very handy and powerful piece of technology that can virtually do it all. And it is so easy. With your new iPhone, everything can be done with your index finger. So let the tapping begin.

Double-Tapping
Not much double tapping, because everything can be opened with a single tap. There are, however, some uses reserved for double tapping. Basically, the double-tap is used for zooming in and then zooming back out. For videos, TV shows and movies, however, the double-tap is used as a toggle between the letterbox view and the squarish simulated full-screen view.
Of course, the letterbox view gives you the full length scene in movies. But if you don't mind cutting the ends off, a double-tap gives you the larger view. It's your choice.

Time Saver
No need to capitalize or add apostrophes to contractions. Your iPhone will add these automatically as you type.

Google Maps
One of the handiest applications on your iPhone is Google Maps. Of course, you would most likely use this for driving directions. So make sure that you bookmark your home or office address to avoid unnecessary typing in the starting and destination fields.

Bigger Keyboard
Go to Safari, the iPhone's web browser. Before you tap on the address bar, rotate your iPhone horizontally. The window will detect this and switch to the horizontal mode. Then, when you tap on the address bar, the screen keyboard will be horizontal. This is all made possible by one of the three sensors hidden behind the black screen.

The Sensors
So, what are these sensors and what do they do? There is the accelerometer, the proximity sensor and the ambient light sensor. Here is how they will help you.

The accelerometer detects the rotation of your iPhone and adjusts your view accordingly. This was explained in the above section to make a bigger keyboard. The proximity sensor works when you are using the phone application to shut off the screen illumination and touch sensitivity when your iPhone is against your head. And then the ambient light sensor, which makes your screen brighter or dimmer when it detects the degree of room light or outside light.
It will not continually adjust to the room light however. It will sample the light as you unlock it. So you can fool it by covering it up or by holding it up to the light. Of course, you can also do this manually by going to Settings and adjusting the brightness slider.

Some Other Tricks
These are some of the cool iPhone tricks you can start with. Apple has a video on their website called "Finger Tips" with some other tricks. Just go to www.apple.com/iphone . You will learn how to silence the ring, delete a message, assign a ringtone, set a passcode or reset your iPhone.
These tricks should give you a good start, but there are many other iPhone tricks that you can find just by searching the blogs.

Apple Iphone: the Deserving One

The great hype that the Apple iPhone generated even before its official release is inexplicable and unprecedented. It is a handheld computer, well almost. An iPod with the best musical capabilities, the iPhone is an all-in-one device that performs multifarious activities with a consummate skill.

This high-tech device by Apple weighs a somewhat hefty 145g and measures up at 115mm x 61mm x 12mm. It cannot be said to be a sleek phone by any standards but this flaw can be easily forgotten once you have a look at the beautiful 3.5" 480x320 pixel touch screen display that constitutes the front of iPhone.

Most people will be able to forget the iPhone its size and weight once they see the beautiful 3.5" 480x320 pixel touch screen display that dominates the front of the device. The on screen control of the phone can be controlled with a finger, including the unlocking and powering off functionality. The text input method is the biggest stumbling block in this phone. The virtual keyboard on the screen is difficult to use, to say the least. You need a lot of time to get used to this type of function. Nevertheless, it becomes relatively easier to operate once you have got the hang of things.

Apple’s auto-correct system is quite a logical move in terms of both spelling and capitalization checks. It is actually an effective way to identify typing errors as you type on the virtual keyboard of the Apple iPhone. This quad-band GSM/EDGE device comes with an on-screen phone dial pad which is used for dialing numbers, and a convenient Recents section that keeps track of the calls missed, made and received.

The mail client on the iPhone supports POP and IMAP accounts as well as Yahoo!, Gmail, .Mac, and AOL mail. Apart from the high-tech features, this device also incorporates all the standard mobile features that form a part of all the regular mobile phones.

A handset par excellence, Apple deserves all the accolades that it is being showered with. First attempt, and Apple has been highly successful in it.

LG KU990 Viewty 'vs' iPhone..

With all the hype of the current release of the Apple iPhone you would be forgiven for not being familiar with LG's latest offering, the LG KU990 Viewty. As with the iPhone handset the Viewty allows you to navigate its menus and features with the touch of a finger. But LG have added a few features to the Viewty that the iPhone is sorely missing. Could this touch screen technology underdog really be better than the iPhone?

The LG KU990 Viewty is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera including a xenon flash and auto focus which puts Apple iPhone's 2-megapixal offering to shame. The camera can also be switched to capture high speed motion footage and includes a unique feature that allows you to watch the video replay in slow motion. Combine this with the option to automatically upload to YouTube and you can plainly see why the Viewty is genuine competition for the iPhone.
The Viewty allows you to browse the Internet through a fast GPRS or 3G Internet connection with an innovative web browser that allows you to zoom in on areas of web pages and then use your finger to drag the page across the screen. This function is useful as the handset screen is small and trying to read a full webpage without the zoom would be almost impossible.

Surprisingly the Viewty is missing a Wi-Fi option, a feature which has become very popular and almost a 'must have' on new mobile phones as Internet browsing becomes more popular.
The onboard 170MB memory is generous but the microSD memory can only be expanded to 2GB which is really poor when you consider that the Viewty is going to be used for capturing high quality photographs and video. In comparison with the iPhone's standard 8GB the Viewty falls short by a long way.

The LG Viewty onscreen buttons and menus are easy to navigate and the photo gallery neatly allows you to drag and drop photos as if you were shuffling through a bunch of photographs laid out on a table. As with the iPhone there are some traditional buttons located under the screen that allow you to quickly answer calls or direct you to the main menu. There is also a selection of buttons on the side of the t mobile handset which allow easy use of the camera options.

At 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 mm the Viewty handset is smaller than the iPhone but slightly thicker. The battery life is good for a regular phone but with the other technologies included it will be necessary to regularly recharge especially if you have set the phone to vibrate each time you select a button on the touch screen.

In conclusion the LG Viewty is not just a clone of the iPhone. Yes the iPhone will be a lot more popular and will sell many more units due to a frantic advertising campaign and brand awareness. Yes the iPhone does look beautiful and operate a lot slicker than the Viewty. Yes the t mobile Viewty is missing Wi-Fi, but there are a few features that will help the Viewty compete with the iPhone. It has a far superior camera which includes video capture, the Viewty is open to networks other than O2 and the handset costs are likely to be significantly less than the Apple iPhone. The Viewty is kind of like the footballer playing for a small team who scores a spectacular goal but is overshadowed in the media by the big team player's strike.

Why is it that I find myself inevitably being drawn to things that are smaller than the competition? It doesn't really mean that it's a better product, and yet, when deciding between an iPod Mini and an iPod Nano, I was willing to sacrifice the storage of the mini for compactness of the nano (and the satisfaction of knowing that smaller pocket in my jeans has a purpose). Isn't it strange? Especially when I find myself losing, breaking, or needing to get glasses because of just how small the nano is. At what point will such mp3 players become so small that people finally start to go for the size bigger.

It's kind of happening with remote controls (cause how many times to those get lost in the couch?). Everyone likes a big screen TV, but even then the focus becomes on how flat it can be.
Further down the line, I think we also need to ask ourselves how much of our lives we're willing to invest in a single product. Is the convenience of it worth it? First of all, there's the monetary value, so losing something like an iPod or similar mp3 player (I like CREATIVE) is sure to bring tears to even the most hardened music lover. Then of course there's the sentimental value.

Some people, due to their computer space, keep ALL of their music on their mp3 player, and in some cases, videos and photos as well. So if you lose that, what's left? What's supposed to occupy your time on the subway, the car, or walking to work? Suddenly your life is half as fulfilling.
This is why I'm terrified, but also extremely tempted to invest in something like an iPhone. On top of keeping all your digital media on your iPod, your iPhone also can house much more advanced video games, as well as the gateway to your social life. The convenience of this is staggering, but boy, would I spend a lot of time making sure it's exactly where I left it. Like a surrogate child. Cause if you lose or break that, you may as well be lost at sea, or in the middle of the Sahara.

Oh well, ignorance is bliss, and the best way to maintain for me is playing old school Tetris on my old Series 60 phone while listening to the latest song by Maroon 5 with a background showing a slideshow of my last vacation. Aaahhhhh...

Cell Phones and Cell Phone Features You Cannot Live Without

It was not that long ago that cell phones were a luxury, not a necessity. Anyone over the age of 30 will remember the days when wireless phones were big and bulky with average reception and limited coverage at best. As hard as it is to imagine now, cell phones of yesterday had one function and one function only - to make and receive calls.

How times change.... Even the most basic cell phones of 2007 pack more computing and navigational power than was used on early NASA space missions!

And as you would expect, business people have become emotionally attached to their personal cell phones and wireless technological devices. So much so that there are now specialists treating addictions to advanced wireless devices such as the Blackberry and other e-mail capable "smart" phones. Studies have shown that addictions to cell phones and wireless Blackberry e-mail are as powerful as heroin addiction!

We have tracked down some of the latest cell phones and features that eventually you may not be able to live without. If you suffer from cell phone or PDA addictions, this list may make it that much harder to kick the habit.

Wi-Fi Cell Phones

If you have ever had a call "drop out" for a brief period of time, you will appreciate the introduction of the Wi-Fi cell phone. This handy device can automatically switch between conventional cellular and Wi-Fi VoIP modes - even during the course of normal conversation.
Dense urban areas that contain large buildings made of concrete and steel continue to pose problems for conventional cellular signals. These structures have a tendency to block the radio frequencies needed to maintain wireless call connection to a "repeater" - the device that picks up your signal and makes the call possible. If a phone is near the limit of a repeater's range and the user walks from the outdoors to indoors, the call can easily be dropped out of the network.
The Wi-Fi cell phone eliminates this dropout by automatically and seamlessly connecting to the closest Wi-Fi hotspot. With Wi-Fi becoming more and more popular and widespread, look for many more handsets to carry this feature in the near future.

The Breathalyzer-Enabled Cell Phone

You have been out celebrating a new promotion with colleagues and business associates. No longer do you have to wonder whether or not you have had one too many to drive home. Introducing: The Breathalyzer Cell Phone.

The breathalyzer cellular phone is a handset that is equipped with a built-in device for detecting ethyl alcohol vapor on the breath. The Korean company LG manufactures a breathalyzer cell phone (LP4100) that is already in use by thousands of Korean customers.

Many predict this feature will be integrated into more handsets from a variety of companies sooner than later. The breathalyzer wireless phone is especially handy for the college-age crowd or for the business person who is required to constantly entertain clients or prospective clients. The breathalyzer cell phone will undoubtedly save lives as its use becomes more popular.

GPS-Enabled Cell Phones

GPS (global positioning system) navigation technology has started to be offered by wireless companies to help guide users to any address they wish to find. The newly equipped GPS phones are even able to give verbal directions in response to an address that is entered into the handset.

Practical uses for this technology are vast for both business and personal use. For salespeople, or for those whose jobs require them to travel to multiple destinations in one day, the feature could become highly addictive. On a personal level, keeping track of teens is as easy as handing them a cell phone.

There is one company that offers a service that allows users to form networks so that anyone in the network can alert everyone else in that network as to their current location. Eventually, GPS will be standard for all cell phones and wireless devices.

The "Screaming" Cell Phone

The screaming cell phone is a feature that allows for the cell phone handset to emit a noise similar to a human scream in the event that the phone is lost or stolen. Once reported, a system administrator can begin to render the scream through the use of a "kill switch". Once the noise begins, the device becomes inoperable and all stored data is subsequently erased.

Although "screaming technology" does not prevent the theft itself or even the return of the handset, it does keep sensitive cell phone data out of the hands of the thief. As one would expect, it makes the perpetrator of the crime extremely conspicuous as well. This technology can be used with any portable device: cell phone, Blackberry, PDA, pager and even a notebook computer.

Personal Handyphone

Want a phone that will function as both a wireless and landline device? If so, the Personal Handyphone is for you. The only drawback is that you need to live in Asia to use it.
Developed over 10 years ago in Japan, the personal Handyphone now boasts over 70 million users. The device is simple: a lightweight and portable wireless telephone that functions as a cordless phone in the home and wireless mobile phone everywhere else. It can now handle voice, fax and even video signals.

Apple Iphone
Due out in June, 2007, the Apple IPhone may change the cell phone landscape forever. Navigation is as simple as flicking your finger across the screen. Of course the phone comes with Ipod functions and internet browsing capabilities. The ease of use of this phone is vintage Apple, a company that seems to make everything incrediby easy.

Critics say the Iphone will not live up to the hype it has created over the last six months. Maybe so, but Cingular, the contracted carrier for Iphone service, has already received millions of inquiries about the new phone. If the Iphone is as popular as the Ipod, Apple will force other cell phone manufacturers to follow their lead. Be prepared to spend some money if you plan on buying one. The Iphone is slated to carry a hefty price tag ($499-599) - (but is it ever a cool phone!) The Apple Iphone may be the one phone that you simply cannot live without.

Want To Watch TV On Your Computer?

I have always wanted to watch television on my pc or notebook. In fact, several years ago I purchased a tv tuner that plugged into my laptop with a USB connector. It worked, although the picture wasn’t great. But, I also needed cable access to a tv signal source, and that was a serious pain.

I travel a lot. There have been countless times that I’ve been stuck in a hotel room when some live event was on somewhere in the world, and I couldn’t watch it because the hotel just didn’t have the right channel. Or there would be some particular tv show I wanted to watch, which wasn’t available with the limited hotel services.

Another problem I had was that I spent a lot of time working in different countries, and often the local television was predominantly in a foreign language. Some of these countries had very limited cable or satellite television. Mostly I had no way of accessing tv programs in my own language, which in my case is English.

I always thought it would be fantastic if I could just plug in my laptop and watch whatever tv service and whatever channel I wanted whenever I felt like it. Well, I just recently made a fantastic discovery! With the advent of high speed internet, improved computers, and the latest developments in software, it has now become possible to watch any television show you want, anywhere in the world. This includes live broadcasts of major sporting events.

You can now buy software which installs with a simple download onto your pc or laptop which allows you to view at least 3000 channels worldwide, includes a vast menu of foreign language programs. There are premium versions of the same software that will allow you to view over 4000 channels. Hardware of any kind for your computer is not required, unlike until quite recently, when you needed a tv card or an external tv receiver. What is even more remarkable is that you pay just a one-time membership fee for the software, and you can watch the tv channels for free - forever! There are no monthly fees, which is quite a significant saving.

Frankly, I can’t speak highly enough about the convenience and benefits of this software. It’s extremely simple to install and the software interface is very easy to operate. I strongly recommend you give it a try. The software manufacturer offers a money back guarantee, so you’ve got nothing to lose. It really is a no-brainer.
